Jaron Putnam Oren Brown Summary Chapter 17

Jaron Putnam Oren Brown Summary Chapter 17

Chapter 17 Summary Oren Brown:

Summary: This chapter focuses on nerve endings. This is an interesting area of study, but seems less relevant to me because our brain is so good at what it does. Singing is a process that is controlled entirely by our brains. With this understanding we need to realize that we learn habits (good or bad) and we need to be aware of those things. I feel that the Talent Code gave a better understanding as to why nerve endings are important. But this is basically the talent code chapter for the book.

Key Concept: Singing is a thinking driven event. We need to train our nerve senses to fire rapidly and smoothly so that we can sing well!

Key terms: Reflex arc, conditioned reflex, pre-phonatory inspiration,

Making Connections: I feel that the talent code has helped me to realize the importance of the mind in singing. It all comes back to Think. Let. Trust. It all happens in my mind!
