Summary: "You can't fool Mother Nature! If you feel physically unwell or emotionally troubled, you'd better try to understand what is going on and do something about it. Your situation could become much worse if you don't." Our voices are directly effected by our emotional and physical wellness. Don't ignore when something is wrong. We should be aware of a develop techniques to help us relax and deal with our stress.
Key Concept: be aware of yourself.
Connections: Your brain is a powerful thing. Emotions you feel and thoughts you think can directly influence our voices. One way I have found to deal with performance stress is to not worry about audience rejection but to try to sing authentically for my own enjoyment and for the glory of God. I'm not there yet but I've gotten better. As soon as I stopped worrying about everyone else and focused on my own development I noticed a change in my progress.
