VRH 11/14 LaeKin Burgess

Tiffany Stamm- Breath is high in the chest. Sternum is not raised so her overall posture is keeping her from taking a proper breath. The larynx and vocal chords seem to be disconnected from the rest of the body and the breath. She could try speaking to get more focus in her voice. The "er" on "nearer" could be more defined, it is hard to tell what she is saying there.

Allyssa Robinson- Bucket breaths happening here which I think is causing her neck and shoulders to be "held" resulting in tongue tension as well. Locking of the head and neck is especially apparent on the highest notes. Expression is good but diction could be better. I liked the song but I couldn't understand what she was saying.

Sara Low- I really like Sara's voice but it wasn't as released as it usually is. I felt like there was a lot of tongue tension and the vowels weren't very defined. I feel like if she would keep the [a] vowel feeling throughout the piece it would help.

Amanda Skousen- Tongue tension is changing the vowel. If she would release the jaw this might help her tongue too. Her chin is down a lot which makes it look like she is looking down. She should bring her chin level and practice speaking the text.
