Master Class 11/12 LaeKin Burgess

Meikjn- I noticed that Meikjn's breath was really shallow. She was rocking from side to side and had an overall manufactured sound like she was trying to control the outcome. Cindy talked about changing our mind about singing. She talked about being an objective listener and instead of trying to control the outcome, ask for it and then see what happens.

Liz Tait- There were some really nice moments of release. I felt like from your highest note onward you had a high larynx and you were trying to control outcomes more than at the first of the song. Cindy talked to you about releasing your shoulders and upper back.  As you sing you tend to gather tension, work on having  moments of release as you sing.

Allen Stevens- Breath is free but under-energized. Tension in the back runs up into the neck and there is an excess of jaw participation. The lower notes are really great but the larynx is really high on the high notes. Use what your voice has already figured out on the low notes and apply it to your high notes. Speaking might help too.
