Emily C., Ashli H., Lesson Plan for 2/24/14
Plans:
- I’m going to write down here that I want to do more of the tongue release exercise on the “cat” vowel, but she seems to be getting along fine without it the more we release her jaw.
- I’m going to experiment more with her higher range, childlike voice, and swoopy speech to exercise her head voice area.
- I want to discuss breath of anticipation with her again.
- Let’s try the “who are you” exercise again and see how that goes.
- I’m thinking primal sound may be good for her.
- Maybe I’ll have her do the breathe in, breathe out a little, breathe in, breath out a little exercise to help her find release in her back because I know that she’s really tight there.
Goals:
- Short:
- I want to have her become more familiar with accessing her head voice through the use of a childlike sound.
- I want her to try and sing more legato in her music.
- Long:
- I would like her to release in her jaw and tongue (without her hands by her face).
