I'm just going to list the lessons I learned both from Cindy and from my observations listening back:
- Look for real sound to be immediately present on every single onset. That will save you energy and efficiency
- I need a bigger space as my minimum amount of space.
- Bigger space and smaller, higher, more focused sound on top of the bigger space. Then we get amplification rather than pressing.
- Air needs to reach the high note before the tone does. If you do that, you will be able to dump into the note rather than reach for it.
- If you don't feel that you are above every note and dumping on top of it, it's wrong.
- Initial consonants need to be even higher than the pitch itself
- [e] tongue position helps in most places
- In the high notes, the back needs to be really wide and the front really narrow.
- Micromovement helps a butt load.
- Feel an empty space behind the back molars
- Both bottom jaw and top jaw go up and back
- On really high notes on [a], make them more like [o]. It will help focus it (narrow it in the front)
- I need more give and take. I press consistently instead of swinging back and forth. That will make my sound more supple and gentle.
- Vibrate every note!! Even the fast ones dummy!
