Taylee - MC 10/29/2013

Emily C.
B: Tension in breath, it didn't look like a moment of rest, bucket breathing
I: short notes had a hard time hitting the pitch right at it's center.
T: [i] vowel was very pinging!
D: she tended to have a scrunched up mouth, the jaw was very tense.
E: I really liked that she had a lot of facial expression.
O: She seemed kind of deflated from the very beginning, including the intro. It made sense when i realized the song was sad, but it lacked energy in the saddness.
H: the change in mood helped to take some weight off the voice! She needed the energy to keep the pitch centralized.

Hannah L.
B: Saw a lot of belly movemont, but the breath didn't seem deep in the body though
I: the pitch seemed heavy, and not centered on the pitch
T: bright, forward. Would have liked more scuro
D: the pitch seemed to effect the vowels
E: had a great character!! On the high notes, though, she checked out and she had a dear in the headlights look.
O: the first part of the song seemed more comfortable for her, and think she started thinking about her singing in the last half, and not observing it happen.
H: they worked a lot on directing the body, and not forcing the body. Think and let! It was really helpful to pin-point a spot that she liked and then direct those feelings to be somewhere else in the song.

Caitlin C.
B: bucket
I: generally good. her high notes sounded reached for though so they were slightly under pitch.
T: staticy sound in mid and upper range. As song progressed she gained more fullness, but it always retained a sound of tension.
D: sounds very easy to produce. Although she forgot some of the words, it still sounded easy to say and understand.
E: I loved her attitude. Even though it wasn't character-esk, she still had fun singing which is WAY more important.
O: she lacked depth in the body, and even more so depth in the larynx.
H: After she allowed the larynx to release, IT WAS AMAZING!!! She had a fuller sound, a richer sound! So much better. Just get those neurons mylinated!! ;)
