Amber Farrow: Beautiful and simple tone. Really good intonation as well. Brilliant middle range, and most of the high notes rang out. The first high not on "tree" seemed very tensed and pushed. She needs to loosen up her neck, which was causing her chin to go down and she was leading with her forehead. She also needs to loosen her jaw, and the sound come out more freely.
Kara Wight: I enjoy her beautiful vibrato. It seemed she was lacking in the breath flow through the body and it needs to be lower. I think that this would help her voice to have more presence. There was a moment when the breath did connect, and the sound came flowing out of her. It was marvelous. Her expression was good, but I could use a little more connection with the meaning of the words.
Aubrey Robbins: She did a great job staying on the core of her voice in the mid-range and high-range. It just rang out of her! I lost her a little on the lower notes, and she needs to continue the presence in her body for those. She also tended to tighten her jaw a lot, especially on the ends of phrases. Her voice could be much freer if she allowed that to be more open. I love the timbre of her voice and her expression and focus was also very good and effective.
Laekin Burgess: I love Laekin's voice. She has a very mature yet bright timbre. She needs to make sure that she's not nodding her head up and down to the music. Also, what was on the ceiling? She was looking it most of her performance, and I wanted her to look at the audience. Her breathing for the most part was good, but at times during the middle of the performance it became higher in the chest. Overall, I think she did a wonderful job with a difficult song.
Hannah Lovato: She has a great voice with a bright timbre. I could tell that she was thinking a lot through the song and it made it difficult for her express herself. She needs to get out her head and trust the work that she has put in.
