Jake masterclass 9-19-2013

Kaylee ann Simmons.
She looks a bit rigid in her posture, I Think she could loosen up a bit. The space is there in the lower register, as she goes higher in her range the space closes and it sounds a little constricted. The oscuro overpowers the chiaro in her voice. I would like to hear more focus and a better balance of the two. She is just barely getting over a cold so I bet that is probably taking some effect with her voice right now. Cindy wanted her to better convey the meaning if the text. She also helped her with her German a bit.

Brook Myers.
I noticed some backet breathing with your shoulders scrunching up as you breath. Breathing should be outward in the ribs. There is also some jaw tension. Good chiaroscuro balance on most of the vowels. Cindy helped her with her jaw tension by helping her realize that she doesn't need to close her jaw as much as she is.

Brick Slade.
Your left shoulder sits higher than your right. Might be some kind of tension. I think you should try opening in your mouth a little more on the ah and oh vowels. I also think your breath support could be better, or you should take more breaths throughout those longer phrases to support the sound. After she had you stretching on the chair the sounded resonated much better. Also helped him out with jaw tension and "reaching" for higher notes.

Sarah Boucher.
Such a pretty sound. Good space, I'd like it hear a little more chiaro than oscuro though. The vowel change Cindy helped you with will probably help with that brighter color. Speak and sing agreeably!!
