Shalayna G. DYV 9

Chapter Summary: Practice should be short periods of times multiple times a day. Using the voice too much can lead to vocal damage. By vocalizing everyday, the voice can say in shape and healthy. There are many similarities between a young and mature singer. Although these similarities are prominent, every voice has its own size and uniqueness. We should not judge a voice by its cover; just because one may have a bigger physical appearance, dose not mean the voice will match. Excessive laryngeal tension can cause the jaw to wobble hence why continuous exercising of the voice will help through growth and maturation.
Key Concept: A little goes a long way. We are responsible for keeping our voices health for longevity.
Key Terms: myasthenia laryngis

Connection: I think it’s nice to be reminded that we shouldn’t do too much. I am guilty for trying to figure out pieces all at once rather than breaking them down in to sections.
