Caitlin Craig 11/6 Partner Practice

Sam and I had our partner practice yesterday.  Sam needed help coming up with some ornamentation for his Handel piece, so I worked with him to develop some appropriate trills and such.  He also sang through the piece once without the ornamentation, and then tried it with the ornamentation.  I think it will be nice, once he has them in his body.
I wanted to work on releasing my jaw, and keeping the space between my upper molars, so Sam had me lay down with the books under my head, with my knees bent, and arms rested above my head.  This seemed to work a little, but I still felt some tension in my jaw.  Sam suggested that I kneel with my head on the ground (like in a soprano on her head).  I think I found the most release there in that position.  I sang on only vowels, and it was more prevalent when I was closing my jaw down, rather than opening my mouth.  I'm going to continue doing this is my individual practicing, so that I can detect when I'm doing it incorrectly.
Although, I wasn't able to find complete release, I think it was a step towards finding that complete release.
