Shalayna DYV 6

Chapter Summary: when classifying children's voices, we must be careful.  Light and easy exercises should be done with young voices because every voice is different. When working with our own voices we must also be careful because our sounds are different to listening ears. We should not put limits on our voices.
Key Concept: Voices in general are delicate. Although we should work at them every day, we must be easy and gentle; we should never force our voices.
Key Terms: monotone, classifications, tessitura
Connection: I think this chapter should be taught to all children so that they know for themselves what is good and bad. I never had the urge to want to classify my voice because my sound is constantly changing.
