Sarah Brenay - Lesson - 11/1/13

I had my memory check for this lesson. I didn't have trouble remembering the text, but as Cindy showed me, I still have a lot of work to do. She pointed out that I did not stress the verbs and nouns differently from the other words. This makes it difficult to understand the meaning of the sentence. So I'll need to go through and figure that stuff out. Fortunately, a lot of the time the composer stresses the right words melodically or rhythmically anyway. She also showed me a new technique for monitoring the jaw - you rest your chin on your hands with your jaw released and open. Then you can monitor closely which consonants and vowels are doing funky things.
