Jaron Putnam OB Chapter 2 Summary
Summary: Release is essential to good singing. Because Our body is our instrument we must learn to sing with complete freedom and release. As we do this, our sound will also be released and we can sing with ease and no problems. There are a set of exercises that singers should engage in daily to prepare themselves for singing. This is crucial to be able to have a healthy singing career.
Key Concept: Release must be practiced. You must do the exercises everyday!

Making Connections: I need to work on releasing more... Even as I was reading the chapter and typing this review I became aware of tension in my neck and shoulders... This might help me to have a relaxed voice as I sing. I definitely need to work on this more. He outlines very clearly some things I want to try and start doing as I prepare to sing for the day.
