Jaron Putnam Naked Voice Chapter Summary Ch. 14
Summary: Success- this is a word that needs to be defined. Do we define as being a singer at the Met? or do we define it as being someone who finds joy in their art. someone who is progressing and changing. The best singers develop their sound continually throughout their life. Anytime we get stuck in one part, then we lose originality, and the audience reads into our "fakeness." it really isn't our best self, because it isn't our naked self. We need to constantly be reexamining and redifining our naked voice!
Key Concept: Success- Being happy and singing with my naked voice.
Making Connections: These are questions I can constantly be asking myself: "Am I singing with my naked voice? How?" "Am I happy in singing" and I think they will make me more happy then asking questions like "Will I get the biggest role in the upcoming performance?" or questions of that nature.
