Sarah Boucher VRH 10/24

Sarah Boucher VRH 10/24  SIMPLY SPEAKING OR FREE FLOWING AIR?
Liz Tait: Free Flowing Air. I think that free flowing air will help to release some of the constriction in the throat that caused her tone to occasionally sound pressed.
Ben Shaw: Simply Speaking Simply. His tone was a little too far back in the throat. I think speaking would help to get rid of extraneous muscle movement and focus his sound more forward.
Kaylee Ann Simmons: Free Flowing Air. Her nasal presence was there but she needed more air to even out the sound and to make the vibrato more consistent.
Mandie Skousen: Free Flowing Air. Like Kaylee, Mandie just needs more free flowing air to help make her vibrato more consistent and to round out her sound more.
Laura Wride: Free Flowing Air. Some of her top notes were pressed and her phrasing was not very fluid, I think that free flowing air would help this.
Emily Cottam: Free Flowing Air/Simply Speaking Simply. I had a tough time with this one. At times the sound felt far back and I felt she needed more speaking to rectify this. Other times however, I felt like her throat was constricted and she needed more free flowing air. Haha, I don't know which one is right!
Brad Summers: Simply Speaking Simply. I think his sound is a little far back in his throat. More speaking will help to create more of the "unicorn" balance in his voice.
Bric Slade: Free Flowing Air. On the higher notes Bric's throat seemed to constrict cutting off his free flowing air. The free flowing air will also help to create more of a depth to his tone.
Luke Shepherd: Free Flowing Air. He had a lot of nasal presence but there was also a breathy quality in his sound. I think he may be trying to control his air to much and that the exercise that would most benefit him would be free flowing air.
Jaron Putnam: Free Flowing Air. Jaron's breaths in were good but I think he is not releasing the air when he is finished with each phrase. I think this causes tension and constriction in the throat.
Caitlin Craig: Free Flowing Air. Caitlin's tone is very present but needs more breath behind it to make it full and rich.
Taylee Beckstead: Free Flowing Air/Simply Speaking Simply. On higher notes Taylee's sound went back in her throat...So maybe speaking the higher phrases would help? In the middle range she had a great nasal presence but needed more air flow to make the sound more released.
Sam Meredith:Free Flowing Air. I noticed that the high notes seemed a little forced and occasionally the vibrato was inconsistent. The constant airflow should help to release the sound and let it spin.
