Chapter 9
"Getting high"
This is all about getting our air to flow freely throughout the ranges including those scary highest bits. We have to learn to automatically adjust our air so that it remains in a proper state of free flow as we sing up or down the ranges. This is supposed to be a huge help in mixing the head and chest voices (like the box chart Cindy draws on the board that shows the CA and TA dominant vocal ranges and how they gradually balance each other out from one end of the spectrum to the other in a gradual shift from one to the other).
How you get there is more important that what location you are going to. All the places you are going to deserve the best quality support.
Also it is important to get to where it happens as a sort of second nature rather than making a concerted manufactured shift for each tone. We want to shift our air and whatnot like shifting the gears an expensive finely tuned Rolls Royce, rather than the clunky, limited, grinding and sometimes dangerous shift on a 1984 Yougo.
