Mariah ER 12

Mariah ER 12
Chapter Summary: Often we like to expend our energy more on "problem-creating" than "problem-solving." We want to convince others that we have a problem and can never overcome it, instead of having hope and working to solve the problem. We need to make a choice to work for the solution and stop telling ourselves it is a problem that will never go away. When we begin to learn a piece, we can be cautious about doing it accurately, but at some point we need to perform it boldly or else it will sound as cautious as we practiced it. Accuracy is good, but "does not give meaning." Sometimes we get addicted to our problems for some reason we are not always aware of and struggle to let them go. We need to be aware when we have changed and overcome those problems as well or else we will continue to believe we are stuck in a rut that isn't actually there.
Key Concepts: Be a "problem-solver"; not a "problem-creator."
Key Terms:
Making Connections: I need to focus less on being upset over mistakes and more on working to solve them. I also need to be a little more reckless sometimes and sing for meaning instead of just accuracy.
