Jaron Putnam Voice Recital Hour Summaries Oct. 3rd 2013

Jaron Putnam
October 3rd 2013-

Emily Cottam: Rich, timbre. Saw a slight raising of shoulders for breath renewal, but overall seems like good clean quiet breath renewal. Range was very comfortable for the whole piece, I felt like overall, the music felt like it was all in the same place. The line felt consistent. I liked the placement of the jaw, and the consistency of the tone! Very nice performance.

Abrianne Dunn: (to replace Amber… I missed her performance) Very pleasing sounding voice. Timbre is bright and there is a nice sound. Very good performance. I liked the dynamic contrast in the piece. Posture seemed a little forward- Shoulders were forward, this made the sound a little tight. Also, work to eliminate jaw movement as you enunciate words. Beautiful sound, but that would help it to be a little more consistent.

Sarah Gee: I love this song! Beautiful light sound to the voice. Resonance stayed forward! I could feel it resonating well in mask of the face. I feel like it lost resonance on the high notes, but the only reason it did, was because you were shy about it! The note was beautiful, you just need to go for it! That is the biggest thing. Reperformance: YAY! way to go Sarah! When you walked forward confidently, if made such a huge difference! The high note of the phrase soared, and was much better! Awesome!!!
