I order to get our voices to be as free and "naked" as possible, we have to learn to let go of the idea that we have to make our voices sound a certain way because it sounds pretty or whatever reason we think we need to modify our voice. Learning to sing freely is like learning to speak all over again, we hiave to experiment to see what feels best to us, not necessarily what sounds best.

Key concept: when we sing just to make noise and not communicate, we distance ourselves from the source of utterance.
Connection: in order to find my true voice I have to be free of any extra weight that shouldn't be in my voice. I have to learn to let it be what it is without trying to make it change.
