Amber, Master class summary 10-8-2013

Master class 10-8-2013 (from Amber)

Brad was up first. That's a nice sound; mellow and rich. Is he blinking Morse code to us?
The question asked here was, "What brings you joy?"
This became a fun exercise for all of us as Brad was encouraged to insert his favorite things for the text... as if the Italian words were a list of the things he liked.
The performance was much better after he found a way to bring more of himself to the performance. It is far more important to be you than to be perfect.

This theme of bringing ones self to the performance continued into Sarah G.'s presentation and help session. Such a brilliant and wonderful voice is hidden behind so much self doubt. I think Sarah has somewhere along the line developed the superpower of becoming invisible, or hiding her true wonderful self. Girlfriend there is NOTHING wrong with the real you.
Cindy had her repeat the concept they had worked on in a lesson earlier that day. The key phrase here was, "Bring it!", as in, bring yourself into the performance.... WOW! such a difference.
I really like the concept that everything we need is available all around us, from the air we breathe to our opinions about our world. We need to mentally get into a place where we know this.
