Amber's lesson summary 10-8-2013
I really enjoy the vocalizing that I get to do with Professor Hart. She knows so many ways to get you connected to the right feeling to then plug into your music.
I am still dumping all my air on the initial entrance to a phrase. We spoke the text then sang it, then lip trilled the line, then sang it. Over time these things are getting smoother and more consistent.
We worked a bit on connecting to meaning by imagining a connection straight to heaven out the top and back of my head as I sang through the Ave Maria. I just let it go and it was easy. I hardly struggled for air. The feedback was that it was much better,, more free, more supported, and connected after doing that.
Things just keep getting better all the time.
