Chapter Summary: We can often get stuck into our own
problems. Our job is not letting our problems evolve into addictions. It is
helpful to identify the stage that takes place after learning but before
clarity. We need to find solutions; problem solve rather than problem create. Be careful about how you complain about your
problem but are still comfortable with holding on to it. Our own standards should not be compared to
others because we are all at a different level of learning. Get acquainted with
change.
Key Concept: try to let your problems go and get comfortable
with the new you.
Key Term: Problem solving
Connection: I actually did the exercise at the end of the
chapter and my experience was a bit emotional. It’s hard to just let go and say
I am a new person. I think this chapter hit closer to home for me because some
of the same questions that she asked, I ask myself all the time.
