Sarah Boucher ER Chapter 9 Summary

Sarah Boucher ER Chapter 9 Summary
Chapter Summary: Visualization is often a tool we take for granted. It can help us develop skills and overcome weaknesses. We should not only see an action, we should also feel it in our bodies. Visualization helps the mind and the body to cooperate and "get on the same page".
Key Points:
-Visualization helps us to target muscles we need while letting go of tension that is not needed.
-Visualization is useless without muscular impulses accompanying it.
-Images must be clear for visualization to work.
Key Terms:
-Feeling sense
Making Connections: I don't use visualization very often in my practice. It is mostly because I have a hard time seeing the image clearly and so then I get frustrated. Now I know that  I need to study the score more so that my vision is clear, it will help me a lot more!
