Sarah Boucher ER Chapter 16 Summary

Sarah Boucher ER Chapter 16 Summary
Chapter Summary: There is no one way to learn! Sometimes things that work one day will not work the next. It is our responsibility to take control of our learning and experiment with different ways to help solve our problems. Just because something works, does not mean it will solve your problem forever. You have to keep working hard at it to get to the point where it becomes natural.
Key Points:
-All solutions to problems open up more problems.
-"It is what we do with our insights that can take a lifetime" (pg. 198)
-It takes time to break old habits.
-New ways if overused can become rigid and unhelpful.
Making Connections: This book has taught me so much about being open to experimenting with my voice. I often learn a "trick" that helps me one day and I become frustrated when it ceases to work. I hope to be able to come up with many different approaches to my problems and to be able to notice when my "tricks" stop working. I am going to have a goal to experiment more and not use the same tool too often.
