Sarah Boucher ER Chapter 14 Summary

Sarah Boucher ER Chapter 14 Summary
Chapter Summary: Letting go of our natural tendency to fear failure will ultimately help us become better. Sometimes we have to "flop" in order to grow as performers. Often the consequences of failure really aren't as bad as we make them out to be. We have to embrace the flops and move on.
Key Points:
-When we give ourselves permission to fail we are more open to exploring our full potential.
-EVERYONE FAILS
-"The permission to fail and the image of success are not contrary." (pg.180)
Making Connections: I always think this is so easy to do, but it isn't! It shouldn't be that hard but it is a disease for me. I fear failure a lot more than I realized! I really want to take the necessary steps to overcome this. I think I am getting better at it in my practice, I just need to apply it to performance now.
