Mariah ER 14

Mariah ER 14
Chapter Summary: If we have a bad performance, it does not mean we are inherently a bad performer. It was just a flop that we can recover from. When we relax and stop worrying so much about failing, we allow ourself the freedom to succeed. If we push ourselves further than we are comfortable, we discover capabilities we would never have known we had if we had not given up the fear of failing. Often the side effects of failure that we are so afraid of are not as bad as we think.
Key Concepts: If you stop fearing failure, you will be more likely to succeed.
Key Terms: image of success
Making Connections: I need to stop worrying so much about not doing well. Sometimes I get so worked up about what would happen if I didn't perform well that I get really impatient about hitting each note perfectly. This makes me rush to just singing through the song instead of taking steps to hit those notes correctly.
