Emily F. partner practice 10/14

Emily F. partner practice 10/14: Taylee and I still are trying hard to get all of our songs memorized for our recital, so we again practiced memorization. We discussed issues we've been having with school and voice, and strategies for being prepared for our recital. We are both feeling frustrated that all of the things we're learning in pedagogy and our lessons is hard to apply right now, because there is so much preparation and memorization that goes into a recital. We'd love to be able to focus more on technique in our practice, but all of our time is spent on words and notes. Also, I will admit that I find it easier to have effective practice on my own right now. I feel that the most benefit I get from partner practice is having someone to commiserate with and the planning time we have.
