Chapter Summary: Our judges can often make us feel guilty and overwhelmed with the task at hand. The moment we decide that we cannot give 100 percent in everything is the moment we are able to be liberated. When we give ourselves the okay to fail, we will often be surprised at how often the result is success.
Key Terms:
Key Concepts: When struggling to convey genuine emotion, try to exaggerate it to the extreme. This may often times help us find the real quality, because we are telling ourselves it's okay to mess up.
Making Connections: This is one hundred percent of my problem while practicing. I want so badly to discover my clean onset, and release the unwanted tension, that it just makes it worse. I need to let go, and be okay with failure, and maybe I wouldn't be so frustrated with myself in my practice room.
