Brooke's SS Chapter 1 Summary

Brooke's SS Chapter 1 Summary-
The vocal chords function in ways close to a brass instrument, and "is useful in understanding how the voice works". Just like a trumpet needs air flow to make a sound so do the vocal chords in the human body, to make high notes they stretch there lips. Vocalist stretch there vocal chords in order reach the same high pitch. The whole body is part of the instrument. The wholistic way of singing is an approach to singing where we deal with our whole selfs. What does that actually mean? It is a physioligical approach to singing where "good technique must deal with the whole human organism."
