Bric Slade ER Chpt. 16

Bric Slade Chpt. 16

One of the biggest things we can take with us through our progression in building skill is that there is never a silver bullet solution. Whether someone tells you something will fix all your problems or probably more detrimental, if we convince ourselves something we found will fix all our problems. We need to continue experimentation and exploring our potential. We need to find what works for us. But we should never get caught up on one epiphany, and stick with that same idea always. We need to use these tools to help us find other tools. Sometimes we need to take inventory of our "tools" and decide if they really are helping us or hurting us. Most of the methods we come up with are going to be flops, but we push on with the understanding that to find something that truly works, we need to give up everything that works less effectively.

Key Concepts: Take an inventory regularly of your methods.

Connections: The only time I ever get in a rut is when I don't want to let go of what I have discovered. I feel that this is a vital key in progressing toward my goal. If I hold on to what I have I can't reach out for something better.
