I feel that the best policy when performing is to practice enough before hand so you don't have anything to prove to anyone when your performing. In other words, if you make a mistake, you own up to it instead of try to cover it up. When you own up to your mistakes, it looks more like you meant it that way than you didn't. Of course none of us mean to make mistakes, but an audience is more likely to remember your mistakes you make if they know flat out you didn't mean it. You should always mean it in a performance.
Key Concepts: Own up to your performance. Your mistakes, as much as your successes.
Connections: Whenever I make mistakes I need to not be embarrassed and act like its no big deal. In the end I can't completely control the reaction of my audience, but my reaction is going to be the first one. My reaction influences everyone else's'.
