Bric Slade ER Chpt. 13

Bric Slade ER Chpt. 13

The best way to deal with stress is to reverse its effect. How do we do this? First we need to identify what is causing us to fret. If we can pull that judge out and figure out what he is saying to us we can have a conversation with him and come to some understanding. Second, we can identify our stress as excitement, which could be used to our advantage. Excitement gives us energy. Stress inhibits our performance. If we don't care what happens and just do our best we can't lose.

Key Concepts: Take control of your emotions by understanding your fears.

Connections: I have learned time and time again that the biggest thing I need fear is being afraid, which is ridiculous but it happens to everyone a lot. The ridiculous thing is, we have no idea what we are afraid of. When you come to that conclusion, performing doesn't seem so scary
