Ben Shaw ER chapter 9 summary

Chapter summary: this chapter is about the power of the mind, specifically as it relates to "visualizing." This is put in quotes because, as our author says, it is sometimes a feeling, or perhaps a sound. At any rate, this term applies to the ability of the brain to simulate. This ability enables us to practice without necessarily doing; to experience it in our minds.
Key points: mental practice, visualization within the brain, is not only fruitful but also convenient. It also compliments physical practice by eliminating irrelevant muscle impulses.
Key terms: Visualizing/imaging
Making connections: this would be a useful addition to my personal practice since it is shown in this chapter to compliment physical practice.
