Taylee-MC 10/15/13

Brook Meyers:
B: seemed a little anxious, but that wasn't
I: seemed to be just under pitch. Didn't have space already available, but was creating it as she was went.
T: seemed shrill at times.
D:
E: Didn't know the song well enough to not be occupied with the notes/rhythms/words.
O: the piece seemed to be a lot harder than it really was. No, she didn't know it that well, but she tackled that aria in VRH.
H: Helped to bring out visuals that are in the acc. If the high note isn't coming out easy, look at how you are approaching the low notes.
Laekin Burgess:
B: quick gaspy breaths
I:
T: tongue seemed to be pulled back a little bit, especially on higher notes. but there was a much fuller sound today in her lower register
D: the diction, although she knows the song, was causing her to stumble a bit.
E:
O: She seemed to have practice this song enough, but the quality of the practice might not have been that great and/or she just wasn't paying as close attention
H: helped with entrance to fix rhythm. gave a ton of great visual examples that will help her in her practicing.
Emily Floyd:
B: shallow
I:
T: onset of pitch doesn't sound confident. Trying to hard to make pitch.
D: German. Awesome. But it didn't sound natural because she was trying to sing.
E: seemed scared (scared of song) and song is soothing and gentle.
O: The song seemed like it was going a little fast, but it wasn't. She needed to feel a deeper pulse in herself. she had a great pulse in her speech.
H: Brought back a more speech like sensation. Her singing sounded a lot more natural.
