Brooke's SS Chapter 5 Summary-
Free flowing air- phase 1- Downward sigh- he wants the singer to have the sensation or sound of a falsetto to as low as they can possibly go. this helps the vocal chords connect. Phase 2- Siren begin on [a] which is speaking level then ascend to a breathy [o] with the a still in our mouth just our lips curved around it. It needs consistent airflow and should feel as though it has no resistance. Phase 3- Descending five tone- descend on vowel [o] then change the vowel to [a]. this forces the vocal chords to remain open. then you drop the larynx and vwala it helps you feel the correct way to sing so you can duplicate it.
