Chapter summary: This chapter is more about learning styles, and how the differences in learning styles between students can be a challenge for teachers as well as the students. This chapter also talked about people with different strengths and weaknesses helping each other to develop their weak skills. In this light, I think the notion of practice partners is good. However, it also gives us cause to reflect upon potentially being more particular about the practice pairs. Perhaps assignments should be made according to opposing skills/strengths for more benefit. At any rate, Ristad then goes on to expound upon the importance of "rescuing" students; finding those who are bright but simply learn in a different way.
Key concepts: We all have different, strengths and learning styles, but we can all gain from each others', and others can gain from ours.
Key Terms: none.
Making connections: I stand to gain by other's strengths.
