Chapter summary: "release" is the term Brown uses to mean "get out of your voice's way." Relaxing one's muscles is key in this. In this chapter, Brown provides 12 exercises that assist in the release of one's body, the 11th of which does not help me personally. Brown also explains the connection between the mind and the body as it pertains to relaxation. In effect, a relaxed body can help relax the mind, and a relaxed mind can help relax the body.
Key points: release is an important part of free singing.

Making connections: I found it interesting that pain can cause tension in the throat. I suppose it's obvious, but I just hadn't made that connection.
