LaeKin Burgess- Lesson Summary 4/7
For this week's lesson I was really warmed up and prepared beforehand so we could launch right into my recital repertoire. We started with my French which is my roughest group. I asked for help on the high parts at the end of Apres un Reve and Notre Amour. These parts could be renamed "LaeKin's bane" because they kill me every time. We tried doing the rag doll and lying folded over on top of the piano bench and nothing really worked. We moved on to my German set and all my problems were solved. Brianna and I decided I just don't have the French in my body the way I do the German. My goal this week: get those French pieces in my body and soul! I'll do this by lots of recitation and stopping every time I start to squeeze and find a place of release in my back and jaw.
