LaeKin Burgess MayeRee lesson plan 4/23 #7
My aim over the last few weeks was to help MayeRee release he abdominals ALL of the way around and help her get a lower breath. I've definitely seen better breaths out of her and I would like to continue to work on this while helping her not be so pushy about her singing. I always ask her to do sing like yawn so I'll have her do some of this, then I want to do the wobble to try to get her to release a little more. I'll also do the raspberry so she can experience hopefully a released tongue and plenty of release in the back. I want to do plop plop plop on 5-3-1 and aim for the same kind of not care attitude as we aim for in the wobble. Basically, anything I can think of to get her to release. She is getting better at noticing when she changes for high notes, it is just a matter of figuring out how to release now. I will try to get her to speak in a little girl voice too so she can realize that singing higher doesn't require more pushing from her neck and larynx.
