Caitlin Craig April Lesson Plan for 3/7/14

Student: April
Lesson date: 3/7/14

Short-term goals: find release in the lower back, and discovering her child-like voice for maneuvering high to low descending exercises.
Long-term goals: eliciting sound with think-let-trust and matching pitch.

Overview: I would really like to give April some tasks today that might distract her from trying to make things happen. I would really like to encourage her to invite her voice to come and participate rather than forcing it to participate. I want to try to have her straddle the piano bench and lean all th way over to release her neck and find release in the lower back. I think this might distract her from the vocalize I am giving her at the time.

yawn jaw, and descending sighs
I will also use a lot of speech to singing exercises like: "abcd" "'th'ee" 54321
I want to work on some eliciting pitch exercises so I'm going to introduce her to the cooing dove sound, if it feels like she is getting it I will try to transfer that into 8531.
5351535153515351 This is an agility exercise but I'm using it mostly for her to find release, and to not care about what comes out. I'm using this exercise to get her to release and to think-let-trust.
