Sarah Branay
Breathing: audible sometimes, sometimes pleasant, calming, and low.
Intonation: sometimes tensed up and it affected pitch on high notes.
Timbre: depending on breathing it sometimes was static like.
Diction: GREAT! easily understood
Expressiveness: has a good general idea but could vary the emotion more.
Overall Performance: vibrato sounds very released! Very confident in presence.

B: silent :)...... until the end..
I: sad part had less of a pleasing sense
T: more fullness in tone than I've heard before!
D: one word-AWESOME
E: thoughtful, has had time to think about meaning and it shows.
O: very easy to enjoy, because she brought more than voice to the table.
Mariah Boyer
B: allowed for time to be relaxed in breath. (but did slow too much)
I: fell into pitch well at beginning
T: focused and forward
D: enunciated well, but inconsistent vowels in Italian
E: didn't change much. straight faced. Needed to take advantage of piano part.
O: It was taken a little too slowly. It made it hard to follow.
Carolee Beck
B: anxious and rushed. didn't take time.
I: didn't settle in to pitch. it was forced and therefore she had to reach to get higher notes.
T: sings from throat, makes high notes airy (pop). Edgy.
D: lost the ends of words
E: needed more specific thoughts
O: Fit the genre very well! She did a good performance, but it wasn't healthy singing.
Emily Cottam
B: didn't notice it (in a good way)
I: didn't use lower body well, so pitch wasn't allowed to ride on the sound.
T: Hallow? I could hear it resonating higher up in the vocal tract but she seemed to be swallowing it.
D: rrrrrroll "R"s
E: needed variety/contrasting emotions in sections that would repeat.
O: more energy in the body will make a ton of difference. It was pretty to listen to, but it could be breath-taking.
Caitlin Craig
B: shallow, unless she had long pauses between singing.
I: a little inconsistant. sometimes she fell into pitch but there was a lot of reaching.
T: Inconsistant, but LOVELY when she trusted. It was very warm and smooth when she hit those points.
D: pleasing to listen to. flowed nicely
E: when she was focusing on emotion it brought out a beautiful timbre.
O: needs same confidence and resonance as "party dress". There would be times were she would let go and it was really, really good!
Laura Berg
B: started w/ shallow and nervous breath before even starting to sing. (set the tone)
I: wasn't very released, but was accurate.
T: bright. full. sometimes brassy. Wonderful on the notes that she was more relaxed on.
E:
O:I think nerves got a bit in the way. Lower notes were very beautiful and it was pretty in general, but shoulder tension hindered her a bit. Her outfit though was very appropriate!
