Chapter 2 summary

Myelin is what coats our nerve endings. When we apply deep practice, the more myelin is produced and once it is produced it will stay there forever, unless disease or old age takes a shot at your brain. It takes hard work and dedication to perform deep practice, but this reward is great with the amount of myelin that is produced. " struggle is not an option: it's a biological requirement."
"If you don't love it you'll never work hard enough to be great."

Key concept: myelin is the key that unlocks the door to greatness

Key terms: myelin, synapses

Making connections: I know that in order for the myelin to be produced in my body I have to really apply myself and work harder and do deep practice on a daily level. It will be hardy but obviously worth it
