Well Taessia is taking her piece to District solo competition this weekend. I don't really have high hopes. I talked to her yesterday and she hadn't looked at the music since our last lesson, which was on the 21st of Feb. She barely did all the notes and rhythms, but struggled doing it against the accompaniment. I feel really bad because I know that she has great potential, but lately she has lost her self drive, and I can't make her practice.
Short Term Goal(s): Hopefully she made time to look at the music since I spoke to her. Today I would like to focus on helping her with the character of the piece.
Long Term Goal(s): Work on deep, low breaths in the body.
