Taylee-VRH 09/12/13

Hannah Lovato:
B: seemed mostly relaxed, but she was squeezing out some of the high notes.
I:
T: very resonant, especially on the [i] sound! Bright and energized!
D: Took MC notes very well! There was an overall improvement from Tuesday. (it was also a diff. song)
E: very composed! She must have worked on this too from Tuesday. Sometime sad face started leaning towards ticked-off.
O: could tell she had worked hard on the MC pointers. In fact, I talked to her after and she had gone to the grocery store that night (Tue) to buy tootsie rolls for her practicing. emotion showed well in her body and face when she trusted herself.

Jaron Putnam:
B: good budgeting with vowels, but wastes air on consonants.
I: lovely
T: really love the [i] vowel: it is focused, penetrating. Over all it is good.
D: consonants very crisp, but need to work on not making the annunciation so prominent. (see breathing)
E: stayed in character well. could distinguish the emotions more and make them more specific.
O: Jaron has great personality for performing. He connects well with the audience throughout. However, he could take more time after he announces himself to start his song. It was a little jolting how fast it was.

Laekin Burgess:
B: seemed better as far as the audience not hearing it, but it still looked anxious.
I: p effected accuracy (which is really hard to get anyway), but good otherwise.
T: lost focus/resonance on p. Really liked the [E] (open, like in "pet")
D: words seemed mushy
E: great story very emotionally invested. Can tell the song means some thing to her.
O: There was a ton of fidgeting in beginning during accompaniment and during long pauses. She seemed to have worked on correcting the things pointed out in MC, but there could still be more improvement. The fact that she has a connection to the piece helped to draw the audience in.
