Laura B VRH 9/19

Laura B
Luke Shepard - Beautiful, light voice. He had hardly any tension throughout the body, which made the sound pleasant to listen to. Thomas worked a lot with getting him to sing using his talking voice and more from his chest to create more depth and meaning to his sound. When he was told to sing from his chest, it sounded more focused. He needs to sing the same way he would sing a musical theatre piece so that he can be inspired by it. Overall, Luke did a great job and I'm excited to see the depth that his voice will take on as he follows Thomas's counsel.
Elizabeth Tait -  Nice connected breaths. There's a lot a depth to her sound, and she had a great release of the jaw. Very nice expression. Thomas talked with her about committing herself to the beauty of the piece. Worked on an "Oh" vowel for connecting the phrases, which helped her more fully make that connection. Making those more difficult jumps will become more smooth with practice.
