Sam Meredith:
Sam had really nice low breaths throughout most of the song until he was preparing for higher notes and then his breath got a little tight. Intonation was right on with a few questionable higher notes.  Sam has a really nice dark, full timbre which can also sound really covered at times.  It think this was caused by tension at the root of the tongue. Cindy worked with internalizing the shape of the melodic line by having Sam draw what it "looked like" outside of his body. She also had Sam work on keeping his shoulders back. When Sam wasn't as focused on making sound and focused more on the shape of the line his singing became easier and flowed better. Good job, Sam!

Luke Shepherd:
Luke seemed to have a lot of nice low, balloon like breaths but in some ways his voice seems under-energized. His timbre is light and airy. Intonation was pretty much spot on. His body (arms especially) seemed a little tense and holding. Diction was good but sometimes soft it could be a little more crisp. Sometimes when the melodic line is ascending Luke looks like he is using his head and body to reach for the notes. Cindy worked with Luke in having a resistance to direct the phrases of his singing. She pulled on his arms to stabilize his ribcage.  I feel like this helped energize his singing as well. Nice work!
