Summary:
As a teacher or coach of anything our first job is to form a connection. We need to form a delicate human connection of language, gesture and emotion. As a coach or teacher we need to be able to tap into our matrix and teach on the fly. We need to pull from out matrix the knowledge that the individual before us needs.We have to form a bond of trust and respect. With trust and respect we can break down walls and barriers that may prevent us from reaching them on a deeper level. We need access to their learning process. Coach Martinez had four main tactics in his coaching. There was tactile examples, personification, imagery, and physical means. My favorite quote from Coach martinez was that he needs to "teach you how to learn in a way that's right for you."
Key Concept: We must forge a connection with our students, we have to understand them on a deeper level so we know what ways we need to teach in order to produce the greater results

Connection: For me the quote that summed up my life in singing is "You are strong enough to do it wrong." I need to apply the concepts to my my practice so i'm strong enough to do it right.
