Chapter Summary: The concept of myelin, deep practice, and ignition is a functional template for any or all skills in life. In regards to Education, Finland's success of taking deep practice to new level, is shown in international test scores. They hire highly educated professionals who are constantly learning more and improving. The competition is high for jobs, and that means student's get the best of the best. Finland is constantly firing circuits and honing in and correcting errors. Just as Toyota's motto states, "When something goes wrong, ask WHY five times," it encourages constant and meticulous error detecting, and tune-ups. In Coyle's anecdotes, he used myelin to direct his children in deep practice, and even prepared his little league team for vast improvement.

Making a Connection: I find myelin to be very inspiring and almost itself to serve as ignition for my passion to learn. I am excited to use this model in everyday life, not only in my practice, but in my learning and teaching.
