Bric Slade TC: Epilogue

Bric Slade TC: Epilogue

The concepts of deep practice are universal and are never forgotten throughout ones lifetime. Keeping deep practice in mind the world is our oyster. The human individual is virtually able to do anything because of this evolutionary happening. Skill is myelin wrapping itself around neural circuits in the mind. To build myelin we need motivation. To Build myelin fast, we need discipline and a strong model for our goals. Skill is a science anyone can attain. It only takes a little time and effort. The best rules to raise your children by are to pay attention to what they are interested in and to praise them for effort rather than achievement, because effort builds myelin, and that's what I call success.

Key Concepts: Struggle is building skill which is success. In other words Struggle is building skill which is essentially achievement.

Key Terms: Kaizen

Connections: I need to remember that the effort I make is success. Failure is inevitable because struggle is necessary. Achievement comes after failure has so engraved a clear path into me that its impossible to fail again.
